BRHS PROM 2012

BRHS PROM 2012:  "A NIGHT AT THE MASQUERADE BALL"

ATTIRE:  Students are encouraged to wear masquerade masks.  These can be purchased via websites or during Mardi Gras in February.  Websites will be added later for your convenience.

DATE: The BRHS prom will be Saturday, March 31st from 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. at the CACC gym.
             This is the week after Spring Break (Monday, March 19-Friday, March 23)

WHO WILL BE IN LEAD-OUT?
Junior Prom Committee and their dates, SGA Officers and their dates, Senior Class Officers and their dates, and the couples that are finalists for Prom Queen and Prom King.  Everyone in lead-out will need to be in line by 7:40. NO EXCEPTIONS!

LEAD-OUT TIME? 
8:00 sharp!  After lead-out, all parents, relatives, family, and friends will be asked to leave the premises except the prom committee parents who are working the prom.

DJ
A DJ will play all of the latest hits from the time lead-out is complete until 11:00 p.m.

FOOD
Food and drinks will be available throughout the prom in the true New Orleans style. 

PROM TICKET COST: All seniors, SGA officers, senior class officers, prom committee members,and finalists for Prom Queen and King will receive a free ticket. Dates of the above will need to purchase a ticket. The cost per ticket is $35.00.  Tickets will be on sale in the BRHS lunchroom from February 27-March 9, 2012.  Students not purchasing tickets during this time frame will have to pay $50.00 per ticket at the door.

PROM T-SHIRTS FOR SALE:  All freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will be given the opportunity to purchase a prom t-shirt Wednesday advisement classes on February  8, 15, 22, 29.  DEADLINE: MARCH 1!! T-shirts are $12.00 for adult sizes: small - xlarge.  XXlarge are two more dollars each which is $14.00.  Seniors will be given a t-shirt as a prom gift.

DVD's of PROM FOR SALE:
Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors and seniors  may purchase a DVD of the prom for $25.00  The DVD's must be pre-ordered and purchased during the weeks of February 27-March 9 during prom ticket sales in the lunchroom. The company hired will be filming all night and will put together a DVD for students interested in purchasing. The DVD's will be passed out to the students who purchased the first of May. PROM TICKETS WILL ONLY BE SOLD FOR THESE TEN DAYS! AFTER THAT, THE COST WILL BE $50.00 PER TICKET!!  NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

AGE LIMIT FOR DATES:
No one 21 or older may attend the prom as any students' dates.

SEATING AT CACC:
Each junior prom committee member, SGA officer, senior class officer, and finalist for Prom Queen and King AND THEIR DATES will be given two (2) RED tickets to give to whomever they choose to ask to watch lead-out.

All juniors  purchasing prom tickets will be given ONE BLUE ticket to secure a seat to view lead-out. If a junior buys two tickets, she/he will be given TWO BLUE tickets. (The only reason a senior will need to buy a ticket is if their date is a lower classman or does not attend BRHS.) All seniors will receive ONE BLUE ticket with their invitation.

Any other parents/relatives wishing to attend to watch lead-out will need to purchase a WHITE ticket for $5.00 to secure a seat to watch lead-out.  These tickets can be bought during the TEN DAY period prom tickets will be sold (February 27 March 9).  There are only 150 WHITE tickets to purchase.  It is first come-first serve, since seating is limited. If all 150 tickets are not sold during above time frame, they may be purchased at the prom.

NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED PAST TICKET COUNTER WITHOUT A PROM TICKET, A RED/WHITE/OR BLUE TICKET, OR A SPECIAL PASS , DUE TO LIMITED SEATING CAPACITY!

The red, white, and blue tickets will need to be given to the volunteers in the gym. The volunteers will show you to your seat.

Prom committee parent volunteers working the prom will be given a special pass to allow access that will be used for the entire night.  These passes will be available at the entrance to prom. 

BRHS teachers, staff, and Central Office employees, will receive a red ticket with your invitation.  Please show this ticket in the gym to be seated in the proper place.

SECURITY:
Several off-duty Alexander City police officers will be hired to work the premises. 
PHOTOGRAPHS:
Mr. Kevin Lanier will be making prom pictures at a time to be later disclosed at CACC.  Students will need to pick up envelopes during the time of prom ticket sales from February 27 - March 9 AND SIGN UP FOR A TIME!  PLEASE BE PROMPT FOR YOUR PICTURES ON MARCH 31. The money will need to be enclosed in provided, pre-printed envelope and given to Mr. Lanier at the time you signed up to have your picture made. 

Alcohol and tobacco are prohibited!
